Based on official game information. Details checked against the linked sources on September 26, 2026. This page does not claim hands-on testing.

Genesis adds five challenge modes beyond the campaign. These change the assumptions behind a loadout, so check the mode before copying a strategy or comparing results. The exact available choices and unlock conditions should be checked in your game.

Iron Challenge

Ironhide describes Iron Challenge as one elite wave with one life. There is little room to recover from an enemy reaching the exit. An editorial way to prepare is to identify the first leak, then work backward through the placements and casts that preceded it.

Do not assume a campaign opening is a proven Iron opening. A plan for several waves may spend resources differently from a plan for one concentrated attack.

Blitz

The Steam description identifies Blitz as a mode with faster enemies. Faster movement can change the time available to react. As a planning exercise, consider whether your strategy depends on a last-second hero move or cast and whether an earlier setup would be more forgiving.

This page does not assert an exact speed multiplier or detailed wave count for the current build.

Hero Party

Hero Party uses four heroes with no spells, according to the release description. That removes spell-based fallback plans and changes how much of the map you can cover with heroes. Read the hero reference and make sure each member has a clear job before comparing combinations.

Spell Rush

Spell Rush relies on towers and spells, without heroes. Any guide that uses hero movement to rescue a route needs to be reworked for this mode. Start by examining what your tower choices and spell loadout can handle together.

Classic Rush

Classic Rush revisits the original Kingdom Rush arsenal. It is a separate ruleset, so do not assume the entire Genesis roster remains available. Read the stage's allowed options and evaluate advice against those restrictions.

Which mode should I practice first?

Choose a map you already understand and change one ruleset at a time. This is a learning suggestion, not a verified fastest progression route. The campaign planning notes give you a record format for comparing attempts.
